Certain constituents on resumes have either been so overused, or are so meaningless in the eyes of recruiters/hiring managers that just having them can be grounds for auto rejection. Look over the 4 following “frequent offenders”. If your resume has one or many of these, it’s time for a re-write:

1) cliched soft skill descriptions

Soft accomplishments lend necessary context to your work history. Notwithstanding, over time certain phrases become so over-applied as to turn into nearly meaningless. Ordinary offenders include:

-splendid communicating accomplishments
-goal-oriented
-strong work ethic
-modify agent
-multi-tasker
-attention to detail
